POP SHOES STORES DONATE $200,038 TO OPÉRATION ENFANT SOLEIL

DESCHAILLONS, June 5, 2023 – POP Shoes stores, along with their sister banner GO Sport stores, had reason to celebrate yesterday during the Opération Enfant Soleil Telethon as they donated the largest amount in their philanthropic history!
Indeed, during the 7-week campaign, the dedicated and passionate teams sold Maison Enfant Soleil tickets signed by Bonneville 2023 for $12, with the entire amount donated to Opération Enfant Soleil. The result is impressive, representing an 89% increase compared to our first year of partnership with the organization.

Knowing that these funds will be redistributed to hospitals across Quebec, which can welcome the children of our customers, and will allow sick children to benefit from better care, touches us deeply.", says André Côté, General Manager of POP Shoes and GO Sport stores.
A HEARTFELT COMMITMENT
Internal contests, daily, weekly, or monthly challenges, friendly competitions, clothing in Opération Enfant Soleil colors, friends or family invited to help, soliciting donations from local businesses: the merchants and their teams deployed a host of strategies to reach the initial goal of $125,000.
A goal quickly surpassed
It took only two weeks to realize that the goal, although ambitious, would be quickly exceeded. The boost from GO Sport stores, POP Shoes’ sister company, certainly helped get off to a flying start for this second philanthropic campaign. Quickly, on both sides, the walls filled with little cardboard figures, while customers buying tickets had the opportunity to write their names and thus leave a mark of their generosity. The children found this very fun, and some merchants even allowed them to place their figure wherever they wanted inside the store. In short, there was a true invasion of little figures that brought a smile to everyone who entered the store.
